Description

We are currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager to supervise and manage the India-based Business Development Department for a USA-based software company.


A successful candidate will be responsible leading and motivating the team in order to achieve targets (statistical as well as qualitative). He or she will also be responsible for developing and driving business strategy, identifying opportunities, and qualifying leads while consistently closing business on a monthly basis in order to meet or exceed targets.


The right candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate their ability to deliver results and meet organizational goals. Thus he or she must be able to demonstrate an ability to organize and establish direction and ultimately deliver the results beneficial to the team and the company.


A qualified candidate needs to possess excellent skills in oral, presentation, and written communication, handle various challenges with an ability to solve them and thus possess ability to think outside of the box within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.


The candidate needs to ensure customer satisfaction as high priority, and will participate in client conference calls for status updates as well as updating junior team members for rapid delivery.


Candidate must be willing to work USA-based hours.


Job Summary

  • Minimum of 5 years in business development, preferably in software development company in outsourcing business.
  • Proven and consistent sales record in software sales and services.
  • Responsible for the sales performance and business development.
  • Set example in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Sound knowledge of the IT services and experience of having worked in the IT industry and international market.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Experience in development of new accounts, selling new businesses to existing accounts, and cooperation with teams performing on accounts.
  • Great expertise in preparation and managing preparation of proposals which convince customer to choose the company as an IT supplier.
  • Ability to plan and successfully implement strategies.
  • Should possess excellent skills for account handling and client relationship building.
  • Ability to identify and develop new markets.
  • Ability to qualify leads, lead, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Strong people management skills (motivation, results assessment, training).
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
